Biography

Isaac Howe was born in Sudbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony on 8 Aug 1648. He is the fifth born child and third son of John Howe and Mary Unknown.[1][2] He married, first, in Sudbury on 17 June 1671, Frances Woods, daughter of John Woods and Mary Parmenter and born in Sudbury on 10 May 1645,[3] They had eight (known) children together, all b. in Marlborough: 1) Elizabeth b. on 17 Jan 1673; 2) Sarah b. on 28 Jan 1675; 3) Mary b. on 15 Feb 1677; 4) John b. in Oct 1680; he died young; 5) John b. on 16 Sep 1682; 6) Bethiah b. on 24 Aug 1684; 7) Hannah b. on 17 Jun 1688; and 8) Thankful b. on 22 Jun 1691. Frances died in Marlborough on I4 May 1718. Isaac married second in Marlborough on 2 Dec 1718, Susanna Sibley of Sutton, Mass.[3] There were no (known) children from this marriage. They lived in Marlborough, where he died 9 Dec. 1724. Isaac is buried there in Spring Hill Cemetery.[4]
