Born in Dedham, Mass., 24 Aug. 1735; married 17 March 1763, Hannah Leeds, daughter of Consider and Margaret (Dolbeare) Leeds, born in Dorchester, Mass., 17 March 1741, died in Dedham, 27 Nov. 1807. He served in the Revolutionary war, as a private in Capt. Ebenezer Battles Company, in Col. Welds Regt., and in the same company in Col. McIntosh's Regt. and was in the service at Castle Island in Dec. 1776. He died in Canton, Mass., 23 March 1816.
