Biography
Eliphalet Howe was born 27 June 1740 in Rutland, Massachusetts.[1][2]
Research Notes
Some Ancestry trees suggest that Eliphalet Howe is the Howe who married Catherine Witten of York, Maine and had a son John Howe born 1765 in Vassalboro, Maine. This is speculative, at best. Family Search suggests he is the Eliphalet Howe who marrried the widow Sarah Nichols in 1765 in Princeton, Massachusetts. Sarah was 26 years older than Eliphalet, and she was probably his father's second wife.
