Susan F. Howe was the daughter of Asa and Susanna (Fisher) Howe. She died at age 33, and was the wife of Robert Huff---as inscribed on her grave marker at East Ridge Cemetery in Cooper, Washington County, Maine. Her birth year would have been 1820 as her death was November 8, 1853.[1]
1850 Her family was documented on the 1850 federal census. Daughter Rosemarie was born in 1842, so a marriage year of 1841 is feasible.
Robert Huff 35
Susan Huff 32
Rosemarie Huff 8
Florence [sic] Huff 6
Susan A Huff 4 [2]
Susan died in 1853; potentially, she could have birthed more children since the census was taken. If she birthed a child in 1853, that child would be age 7 in the 1860 census. This is what we see for Robert in 1860:
Robert Huff 43
Matilda Huff 27
Rose E Huff 17
Florian Huff
Susan Huff 13
Robert D Huff 11
Abner Huff 6
Daniel Huff 1[3]
If Robert D Huff was age 11, he should have been on the 1850, and Abner could turn seven the year of the census, and so could have been her son.
With more research on Susan's family, it can be concluded that ~ >She was born in Cooper, and married a man who was also born in Cooper. The couple lived next to her husband's parents, Abner and Abbie Huff. (1850 census) >She had five surviving children with Robert Huff.

>And then, she died in Cooper.
