Biography
Jonathan Howe, born 29 Oct 1761 in Marlborough, was one of 12 children born to Eliakim Howe and Rebecca Howe. [1]
Jonathan Howe married Mary Corliss abt 1779 in Weare, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. Jonathan's brother, Eliakim Howe Jr., married Ruth Corliss 17 Dec 1789 in Weare, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. Mary and Ruth were sisters. Because Jonathan and his brother, Eliakim, both got married nearly the same time and at the same place with two sisters, could be the reason they moved and traveled a lot together. Both brothers moved to Holland twp, Niagara County, New York because they were on the 1820 census.
