Biography

When Samuel Edwin Howe was born in 1846 in Springfield, Indiana, his father, Estes Howe, was 34 and his mother, Susan Whaley, was 29. He was the 5th of ten children:

Research Notes

Geneanet indicates Samuel died in 1892 at just 46 years old[14], however, his widow Catherine didn't apply for Civil War Pension until 1904[15], so his death should be between 1885 (last actual record), and 1904. Mullenberg-4 01:05, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
