Biography

Born in Hartford in 1851. He graduated from Yale in 1874 and began as a clerk in the wholesale dry goods business. He married Henrietta Atwood Collins 16 Feb 1876. She was born in Hartford, 11 Apr 1849, and they had three children. He became a clerk in the Hartford National Bank, and later was a partner in the firm of Howe & Collins, brokers; a director in the National Exchange Bank and the Conn. Fire Insurance Company. He was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon and the University Club.^[1]
