Uranah Howland was born to James and Renew (Eddy) Howland on 15 April 1802, in Douglas, Worcester County, Massachusetts.[1]

She married William Smith on June 19, 1822, in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Uranah Howland and William Smith had the children during their marriage as follows:

  1. Julia Ann Smith (1824 – 1909)
  2. James Smith (1825 – )
  3. Uranah Smith (1825 – 1863)
  4. Amanda Smith (1827 – )

She died on September 13, 1872, in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, at the age of 70.
