William P. Howland was born to Jethro Howland and Rebecca Lawrence on 19 Jun 1821 in Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

He married Ann M. Dyer[7][8] about 1845[2][3][4][5][6] and the couple had the following known children:

  1. Samuel D. Howland was born 05 Jul 1846 in Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts.[9][2][3][4][10]
  2. Rebecca Howland was born 12 Nov 1850 in Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts.[11][3][4][5][6]
  3. Samuel D. Howland was born in 1852 and died of whooping cough on 30 Nov 1857 at Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts.[12]
  4. Christopher D. Howland was born 26 Aug 1853 in Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts.[13]
  5. Lydia G.[4] Howland was born 19 Feb 1856 in Westport, Bristol County,Massachusetts.[14][3][5]
  6. Alexander G. Howland was born about 1861 in Massachusetts.[4][5]
  7. William J. Howland was born 12 Nov 1863 in Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts,[7] died in 1929 and is buried in Westport Point Cemetery, Westport, Bristol County, Massachusetts.[15].[4][5]
  8. Harry L. Howland was born about 1866 in Massachusetts.[5][6]
