Biography

Joseph was a Friend (Quaker)
This profile is part of the Howland Name Study.

Joseph was born 27 Apr 1775.[citation needed] He was the son of Matthew and Abigail Wing of New Bedford.[1]

He married Deborah Howland, daughter of Timothy and Lucy Howland of Dartmouth, on 28d 1m 1800.[1] She was granted a certificate to accompany him back to the New Bedford monthly meeting.[2]

He passed away in 1850.[citation needed]
