Biography

Sarah (Hubbard) Harrison immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Sources say Sarah was born about 1635, at Wethersfield, Connecticut. She is the daughter of George Hubbard and Mary __?___ , who has been erroneously called Mary Bishop.[1] This date and place cause a problem if she is the mother of Richard Harrison's children born beginning about 1645.

About 1625, would be more in keeping with her marriage and the birth of her children. Although the early ones do not have recorded births. If born about 1625, she would have been born in England, not Connecticut.

She married Richard Harrison, son of Richard Harrison.[1][2]

Richard Harrison and his family settled in Newark, New Jersey along with other families from Branford.[1][2][3]

Sarah was named in her father's 1682 will. Suggested death dates before this are incorrect. It is highly unlikely that she died in Guilford as suggested by Find A Grave.[4]

Children Samuel and Joseph's birth dates don't make sense if she was born in 1635. Was she really about 14 years old?

Rootsweb shows Sarah as marrying Sgt. Richard Harrison, not Daniel. Sarah & Richard both died in Newark.

Sarah Hubbard m. Richard Harrison. I've not seen anything about a Daniel Harrison. Anyone object to my disconnecting Daniel?
