Bessie Lee Huddleston was born August 1, 1879, in Callaghan, Alleghany county, Virginia. On December 12, 1906, in Greenbrier, West Virginia, "Bessie L. Huddlestien" of Alleghany, Virginia, married E.M. [Edward Milton] Haynes, of Mason county. [1]

Children of Bessie and Edward include:

Sheldon E. Haynes, born November 17, 1909, in West Sulpher Springs, West Virginia, [2] died December 3, 2002, in Lewisburg, Greenbrier, West Virginia. [3]

Bessie and E.M. Haynes are found on the United States Census of 1910, living in White Sulphur Springs, Greenbrier, West Virginia, with their sons Edward H. Haynes (age 1) and Shelden E. Haynes, (newborn) [4]
