Samuel Andrew Huddleston was born on September 14, 1904 in Prairieville, Kaufman County, Texas.[1] He was the son of Joseph Jasper Huddleston and Oma Anderson.[2][3] Samuel married Mary Bradshaw on July 17, 1926 in Van Zandt County, Texas.[4] He worked as a truck driver after Mary and he were first married.[5] His youngest sister, Vera, lived with them in Dallas.[5] Sam became a machinist and the couple moved from Terrill (in Kaufman County) to Fort Worth, Texas before the 1940 census.[6] They had at least 1 daughter.[6] Although no service record is found, Sam did immigrate from Liverpool, England to Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1945.[1] He stated at that time that he was born in Prairieville.[1] Sam died on December 8, 1973 in Dallas.[7] He is buried in Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas (Dallas County), Texas.[8]
