Biography

Byrum Frank was born, 21 Jun 1843 in Rocks Springs TN now a part of Putnam County, TN. He was one of ninteen children. (His father married three times). The Huddleston's were a farming family and they owned their own land.

In her book, "The History of Pleasant Grove Church, 2005", Mrs. Pearl Huddleston Ensor writes:

In those days the girls went to the field to work along with their father and brothers. It has been told that three of his oldest girls could lay off straighter rows for planting than their brothers, so after the land was turned or plowed up the girls laid off the rows before the corn was planted^[2]

In 1862, Byrum enlisted in the Confederacy during the Civil War. ^[3]

Bryum Frank married Ruth Jared somewhere around 1869.

In 1870 the Huddlestons are living next door to Ruth's parents.
