Biography

Lurania Hudgins wed Thomas J. Whitley October 10, 1879 in DeKalb County, Georgia.^[1]

Louroney Whitley was enumerated as wife at Diamonds, DeKalb County, Georgia for the United States Census, 1880. She was noted as keeping house, born in 1861 in Georgia and married. Also included in the household are self Thos J Whitley and daughter Bonnie G Whitley.^[2]

Lurane Whitley was enumerated as wife of the head of household at 40 Bradley Street, Atlanta city Ward 4, Fulton County, Georgia for the June 14, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born April 1861 in Georgia and had been married for twenty-one years. She was the mother of nine children of which seven were still living. Also included in the household are head Thomas J Whitley, son Eddie J Whitley, daughter Clavely Whitley, son Virgil H Whitley, daughter Mary L Whitley, daughter Ruby A Whitley, son-in-law Hughee Turner, daughter Bonnie G Turner and granddaughter Ida Laura Turner as seen in an image of the original census.^[3]
