Biography

He served in all four of Hudson's recorded voyages. He was among the crew abandoned in the bay in 1611."[1]
Son John Hudson was aboard as a "ship's boy" (loods) on the ship the Halve Maenen with his father since 1607. In June 1611 the ship was released, and there was a mutiny.
Hudson on 22 June 1611 with eight others, including his son John, almost all sick, were put over board and in a boat, abandoned and left to their fate. The ship the Halve Maenen returned and arrived in England, where the crew was immediately captured and put in prison. People tried in vain to find Hudson, his son and his friends back .
