Will Hudson last Tuesday went down to be at the funeral of "Uncle" Berry Hudson, who died at his home near Winnerva Monday night. "Uncle" Berry was one of the old time settlers and was respected by all who knew him. The editor of The ECHO especially remembered "Uncle" Berry's many kindnesses to him. He was both a Mexican and Confederate soldier. He and Maj. Hilton were the last survivors of the Mexican war in this section of the state. Date of Death: July 10, 1911

Children, John Herrod, Robert Henry, Arcadia Jane, Frances Elizabeth, Berry Randolph, William James, Sarah Annie, Felix. Served for the Confedracy in the Civil War and also serve in the Texas War. Occupation Farmer.
