Robert William Hudson, son of Thomas Hudson and Frances Jackson Manley Hudson

Wife: Elizabeth Goddard Mead, married Oct. 7, 1849 in Roane County, TN. [1] Their children include:

  1. Robert King, born 14 Oct 1851, married Maggie Birdwell
  2. Elizabeth, born about 1853
  3. Thomas Berry, born about 1854
  4. John, born about 1856
  5. Mary Ann, born 15 Sept 1859 in Davidson Co., TN
  6. Samuel Rufus, married Amanda Jane Kincade, died in Ladue, MO; born in Davidson Co., TN
  7. Joseph Ancil, born 25 Nov 1865 in Davidson Co., TN, married (1) Salley Newton, two sons, James Jerome and Jessie Newton. Salley died and Joseph married Alvena Katherine Crawford, born in lowa. Joe Hudson was a blacksmith at Harper, Iconium, and Osceola, MO. He and his wife moved to Jackson Co., MO, about 1912 and Joe died there of a heart attack 21-Jul-1921.
    1. Joseph and Vena had the following children: Florence, died at birth; Glover Joseph, b-2-Dec.-1898; David Milton, 2-Aug.-1895, d-19-Dec-1949, married Tola Gaddis. David, married her twin, Lola Gaddis. Grace Beatrice, b-30-Aug.-1900, married Murry Harryman (2) Lester Martin: Twins, Gladys Laura and Gertrude Etta b-15-Ju1-1903 at Iconium, MO. Gladys married Clarence Thomas Bledsoe, 15-Sept.-1919. Gertrude married Henry Hardin. Ralph Crawford, b-11-May-1905, d-26-Feb.-1959. Joseph Ancil and Alvena Crawford Hudson are buried in Mt. Washington Cemetery, old Fairmont, now Kansas City, MO.
  8. Nancy Jones Hudson, born 20 Jan 1868, married George Kennedy. They moved to Bend, OR. Nancy died 01 Apr 1958.
  9. Julia Ann Hudson, born 22 Jan 1870, married Gilford P Foster. They owned land near Wright's Creek in St. Clair Co.
  10. William Franklin Hudson, born 16 Jan 1872, became a minister, married (1) Osa Crawford, a cousin to Vena. Uncle Billy, as he was known, married three times. By Osa he had: Lillie; Alta; Paul Franklin. By Bertha Davis: William Thomas; Doris; Mildred. There were no children by the third wife. Rev William F. Hudson was ordained at Wright's Creek Church. He also ministered in southern Missouri. At the time of his death, he was minister at Drakes Chapel in Henry Co., Mo" He d-17-Aug.-1959 and is buried at Drake's Chapel.
  11. Emma Josephine, born 3 Feb 1874, married Carl Siivers; moved to Bend, Oregon. Emma died 15 Sept 1934. Not much is known about her family.
  12. Newton Tompkins Hudson, born 28 Sep 1879; He is buried at Iconium. He owned a business at Osceola, married (1) Hannah Wikenson; (2) Sarah M. Stevens.
  13. Laura Bella Hudson, born 7 Jul 1884; married John H. Jenkins; had one daughter, Julia Beile Hudson York Nelson; Laura died 26 Nov 1936.
