Biography

Married a Ralph Shelton III between 1760 and 1770 in Virginia. Ralph was born about 1735 in Virginia. In 1793 Ralph and Susannah were recorded as members of the North of Holston Church, which later became County Line Baptist Church. Proven children are Cuthbert, Richard, Mary, Judith, John, Nancy. Suspected children are David, Joel, & George. Ralph & Susanna moved to Knox County, Tennessee about 1806. Ralph died in the summer of 1818. The above research is attributed to Mr. Walter Shelton Jr.[1]

Ralph and Susanna sold land in Surry County North Carolina in 1785. [2]

Susannah is also mentioned (by her married name) in her father's will.[3][4]
