OBITUARY

Macleay Chronicle (Kempsey, NSW : Wednesday 15 December 1948, page 4 MR GEORGE W. HUDSON. Mr George Wilson Hudson,of Millbank, passed away on Sunday, 5th December,aged 74 years. Deceased, a noted farmer, gardener and stock man,and held in high regard for his neighbourly qualities, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Hudson, of Kempsey. He was born at Major's Elizabeth Ann Brown, who survives him. Sons of deceased are Messrs Donald (Millbank), Ray (Jerseyville), and Edgar Hudson (Millbank); while daughters are Mesdames D. and L. Hudson (Millbank), Madalena and Mitchell (West Kempsey).Mr. Harry Hudson, of West Kempsey, is a brother; and two brothers, Edgar and William,predeceased him. Sisters are Mesdames Wheeldon (Greenhill), W, Fisher and D. Fisher (Kempsey.) Three sisters predeceased him. There are also 33 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. The funeral, un der conduct of Messrs W. Campbell and Co., took place to East Kempsey Methodist cemetery on Monday, the Rev. W. Tredinnick officiating at a service in Kempsey Methodist Church and also at the graveside.
