Hi Garth , and welcome to WikiTree! You mentioned your family/ancestors in the United Kingdom. I wanted to let you know we have a great project that focuses on the UK here called United Kingdom Project It would be a great place for you to get involved once you have settled into WikiTree.
You may find some of your ancestors are already on WikiTree and the people in the United Kingdom Project will be happy to help you in any way they can.
Thank you so much for joining WikiTree.
Good luck with your research in 2015.
You are now a member of WikiTree! Please help us build one Collaborative Global Family Tree, which means only one profile per person. It's important that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced- if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.
To help you get started, view this introductory WikiTree video.
I have been researching my wife's ancestors and my own as a follow on from recording the many tales my parents and my wife's parent told and which we want to pass down to our descendants.
I am able to use the nearby National Archives at Kew for further research.
Already I have had a contact from a very distant cousin of my wife's and I hope to further contact
with people of common interest on Wikitree.
Hi Garth, not sure if you're the same Garth Hudson that I'm apparently related to; I was born in Toronto, on my father's side Snider/Carveth/Robertson. Have been researching my own family history but there are some missing bits I'm trying to fill in. Let me know if any of those names ring a bell for you.
