1942, Thursday January 22 The Almonte Gazette page 5 Pakenham Notes Mrs. Duncan Cameron The death occurred at her home in Arnprior on Tuesday, Jan. 13th of Mrs. Duncan Cameron, an old and highly esteemed resident of that community, after a few months' illness, in her 77th year. Mrs. Cameron, who before her marriage, was Jessie Hudson, daughter of the late Matthew Hudson and his wife Mary Woods of the, 3rd concession of Fitzroy. Fifty-six years ago she married Duncan Cameron of Sand Point, where she lived for a number of years going to White Lake, where she resided for 20 years when they retired and took up residence in Arnprior, 14 years ago. The funeral was held from her late residence on Thursday last to the Pentecostal Church a t 2.15, where service was conducted by the pastor, Rev. S. S. O'Brien, assisted by Rev. L. McPherson. Favourite hymns of deceased were sung and Mrs. W. Moorhead sang a solo. Mr. Cameron passed away five years ago. She was one of a family of seven, three of whom survive. Also surviving are four children; (Annie) Mrs. J. D. Robertson, Arnprior; (Eileen) Mrs. John Charles of Pembroke; James of Kincaid, Sask., and Matthew of Arnprior; one sister, Mrs. Robert Gillan, Pakenham; two brothers J. Samuel Hudson of Almonte, and Frank Hudson, Fitzroy; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Amongst the numerous floral offerings was a basket from the church of which she was a faithful attendant. Pallbearers were six nephews, Alfred, Stuart, Henry, Reginald, Edgar Hudson and Welland Gillan. Interment was in Arnprior cemetery
