Anne Marie Hudson was born about 1752 in Albemarle County, Colony of Virginia. Her father was John Hudson, the son of Captain Charles Hudson of Hanover. Anne's mother was Anna Jones, the daughter of Lane Jones. Anne was named after her aunt, Anna Marie Jones, who was famous in those time in that she had 4 successful marriages.
Anne was joined in the deed to Dover's Mill on January 1, 1775, with her husband, Jesse Burton. After Anne's husband, Jesse Burton, died, she dropped "Marie" from her name and became known as Ann Burton. She died at the Oaks Plantation in Campbell County, Virginia.
