Jacob W Hudson, son of Jacob and Regina Hudson, was born in December 6 1811 and died December 9 1901 on Smith's Run, Lewis County, West Virginia where resided with Floyd O and Itasca Mississippi, his daughter, Smith[1][2] and was the stepson of David Wetzel, Sr. He married (1) Elizabeth Hardman October 10 1833 in Lewis County, Virginia.[3] and (2) Permelia Francis Watson Jackson, daughter of John and Mary M Watson, June 21, 1860.[4] He was a sheriff of Lewis County, fought for the Union during the Civil War.[5]
