I could be getting Clayton Huff and Thomas Clayton Huff mixed up. They are both listed in the index of one of the books on page 516. I just assumed they were the same and that Martha Middleton was his mother and Jonathan Huff was his father. I do think they are closely related. Thomas H. Huff is in my grandfather line.

I don't know anything about clayton Huff born in 1917. There is a Thomas Clayton Huff born about 1795 in Georgia. I believe in Warren county, Georgia. He is in my grandfather line. His mother was Martha Middleton and his father was Jonathan Huff. I have 2 books on Warren County Georgia written by Daniel Nathan Crumpton. Thomas C. Huff is on pages 338 and 349. Clayton Huff is listed on page 228. It states 21 Mar 1799 Huff, Jonathan. (B) stands for buyer . This is in deed records book and page C172

Then Elizabeth as (b) for buyer. Then Clayton as (b) for buyer Then Middleton as (b) for buyer Then Huggins, William as (w) for witness Then Huff, Charlotty as (w) for witness. In the other book on page 69, Clayton Huff Is Groom and Elizabeth Farr is bride, 9 Nov. 1815.
