Biography

According to his death certificate, Stephen Huff was born 28 Feb 1833, His father was John Huff, born in Tennessee, possibly in Sevier County but no indication of the county has at yet been located.^[1] It seems that the John who was Stephen's father was Jiohn Huff (c 1808 Tennessee - ) and a step-mother was Malinda Yarborough (c 1826 Arkansas - ) who were married in 1846 in Missouri.^[2]

In 1850, Stephen married 1) Minerva Brown (1834–1898) on 22 Sep 1850 in Franklin County, Missouri).^[3] On 5 Nov 1904 in Iron County, Missouri, Stephen married 2) Melvina Jane (Canter) Vaughn, a widow (1875 - 1965) ^[4]

Stephen passed away in 1917.^[5]
