Biography

James Huff, son of William & Sarah Joseph Huff, b. 1819, m. Arra Wells, b. 1826, d/o William T. Wells. James Huff moved to Kentucky prior to the Civil War and was living in 1885 in Knott Co. KY. After the death of his 1st wife, he married an Amburgey. Children: by 1st marriage: Rebecca Huff, b. 1846; Loranza Huff, b. 1847; Sally Huff, b. 1849. Child by 2nd marriage: Jane Huff, m. Newt Huff, both lived and died on Bear Branch, above Dorchester, Wise Co., VA.

James "Jim" HUFF (1819 VA - after 1870) was the son of William and Sarah (Joseph) Huff.

James by family tradition was a Baptist minister in Pine Top, Letcher Co, Kentucky.

On 20 Aug 1844 in Letcher Co, KY he married Aurora WELLS (1826 VA - after 1870) and lived later in Letcher Co, KY.
