William Thomas Huff was born on January 19, 1815 in Lee or Russell (later Wise), Virginia, United States, son of William Thomas Huff (~1785–1876) and Sarah Joseph (1783–1887).[1]
William married Phoebe Hamilton (born about November, 1813 in Virginia; daughter of Schuyler Hamilton and Susannah (Dotson) Hamilton). Their children were:
- Susannah Huff (~1835–>1880)
- Charles Huff (1836–1917)
- Nathaniel Huff (~1838–>1860)
- Sarah Huff (~1841–1856)
- Malinda Huff (1842–1925)
- Anna E Huff (~1845–>1860)
- Robert Huff (1855–1884)
