Biography

Rose Alba Huff was born on 02 September 1858. The name Rose Alba means "white rose". She was the second youngest of eight children of Charles Wesley and Martha Jane Huff. She was born in Muskingum County, Ohio.

Obituary in Decatur Daily Review 28 Jul 1936 ^[1]

Mrs.Rose A.Creighton, 78, died at 9:30 am Tuesday in the home of her sister, Mrs.George C.Grove,2005 N. Union street. Her death followed a long illness. She was the widow of J.R.Creighton. Besides Mrs. Grove, she leaves a sister, Mrs. Maria Cripe of Fresno,Calif. and a son,Charles Creighton of Decatur. She was a member of the First Methodist church here and of the Order of Eastern Star in Cerro Gordo. The body was taken to the Monson funeral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
