Hi Christina,

Thanks for your message indicating you wish to research and document your family history for future generations. I have found WikiTree to be an excellent tool for research and collaboration.

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree. Once you entered your family members it is exciting to see other people finding your family profiles, asking questions, and expanding it.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the G2G forum, or you might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Since the birth of my own grandchild over a month ago, I wanted to begin a family tree. This is because I have no idea where my own history goes any farther back than great family members, and the same applies to my husband and his family. I'm hoping to initiate this family tree to see who knows what, and how far back, so that when my own grand children have questions, they will know exactly where to go. I think this will be interesting and maybe even surprising. Our family is such a Hodge podge of ethnicities and heritage, that I don't want a single one to be forgotten.
