Clayton was bur. in the Old FARR Burying Ground, 9 miles South of Covington, GA, in Newton Co.

Clayton Huff was born 1 Mar 1795 in Warren County, Georgia. He has been claimed to have been a son of Jonathan Huff (c 1771 Warren County, Georgia – c 1810) and Martha (Middleton) Huff (1775 Wilkes County, Georgia -1845 Warren County, Georgia), estimated to have married about 1789 in Warren County, Georgia. Further, he is said to have been a grandson of Jonathan Huff (c 1746 England? - c 1775 Warren County, Georgia) and Elizabeth (Farr) Huff (1748 - 1845). Jonathan and Elizabeth (Farr) Huff were described as marrying about 1748 in St. Mary Magdalen, Norfolk?, England.[1]

Clayton Huff was listed on the same page as Jonathan Huff and Martha Huff w[i]d(?) on a tax list in Captain Harris' District No. 150, Warren County, Georgia, grantees Powell and Harrison, watercourse B.B.C., adjoiners Hobbs and Merchant, date not located.[3]

On 28 October 1815, in Warren County, Georgia, Clayton married Mary Elizabeth Farr[4] (1795 – 1882).
