Mary Ann Hughes was born November 19, 1814, in Muhlenberg, Kentucky, a daughter of Ishmael Hughes and Susannah Elizabeth Kincheloe. On December 4, 1836, in Muhlenberg, Kentucky, Mary Ann married Presley Whitaker. [1]
