Biography
Catherine was born in 1863 in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of William and Ellen (McKenna) Hughes.[1] Both her parents were natives of Ireland.
She married Charles D. Ellis and they had 5 children: Susan (who died in infancy), Helen, William, Charles and Arthur.
Catherine died in 1918, at her home on Jacques Street in Somerville, Massachusetts, at the age of 54 years.[2] She is buried at St. Paul's Cemetery in Arlington, Massachusetts.
