Biography

Billy Hughes wed Ida Eason December 26, 1900 in Miller County, Arkansas.[1]

Billie Hughes was enumerated as head of the household in Sulphur, Miller County, Arkansas for the April 22, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1880 in Arkansas and had been married twelve years. He was a farmer on a general farm and an owner as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Ida Hughes, son Dale Hughes, son Sidney Hughes, son Austin Hughes, daughter Ottie Hughes, mother Addeline Hughes, nephew Henry Hughes, niece Sara Hughes and hired man H R Jewell.[2]

James William Alexander Hughes registered for military service as recorded in this September 10, 1918 United States World War I Draft Registration Card. His birth was listed as December 19, 1879. His address was Ravanna, Miller County, Arkansas. His occupation was farming for himself. His nearest relative was Ida O. Hughes of Ravanna, Miller County, Arkansas. He was short with a medium build and had brown eyes and streaked grey hair as seen in this image of the original form.[3]

James Wm Alexander Hughes was listed as the father of James Austin Hughes who died May 18, 1950 in Texarkana, Bowie County, Texas. The mother was listed as Ida O Eason.[4]

J W A Hughes was listed as the father of William H Hughes who died January 19, 1953 in Longview, Gregg County, Texas. The mother was listed as Ida Eason.[5]

J. W. A. “Willie” Hughes is buried at Enon Cemetery in Miller County, Arkansas, USA.[6]
