Research Notes
In 1691 there appeared a petition of Henry Randolph for 100 acres of land because he had imported Susannah Symonds and Ann Hughes. [Was Ann any relation to Joan?] supposedly she was from Luisa County, Virginia and arrived from Europe with the Randolphs. John Morton transferred 200 acres to William Randolph in Chickahominy Swamp.
Her sister Sarah also has a wikitree record. It says she was born in 1655 (Same as Deborah) and died in 1682. Not much information on her page but I thought it was interesting the birthdates are the same year. Twins or one of them has the wrong year? 5-15-21 I cannot find information on her or which Mother is correct.
First Husband John Wade Disproved. Sources that had it and are NOT correct.
Need to determine through more research which kids/dates are correct.

Hughes-15596 and Hughes-3566 are not ready to be merged because: The place of birth is different as are the death dates. This could be the same person with inaccurate information, but I'm not sure.
Hughes-9124 and Unknown-320719 appear to represent the same person because: Need to merge Hughes-9124 into Unknown-320719, Hughes has not been verified as last name of John Morton's wife and Deborah has been verified as her first name. Thanks
Hughes-9124 and Unknown-320719 appear to represent the same person because: Need to merge Hughes-9124 into Unknown-320719, Hughes has not been verified as last name of John Morton's wife and Deborah has been verified as her first name. Thanks
Unknown-320719 and Hughes-8201 appear to represent the same person because: Need to merge Hughes-8201 into Unknown-320719, Hughes has not been verified as last name of John Morton's wife and Deborah has been verified as her first name. Thanks
person rejects over a Spelling Alternative for the same family. The information show it clear Sarah Moreton (Hughes-9124) and Sarah Hughes (Hughes-8001) are the same besides the wrong spelling of Morton. If merge correctly this could of been solved.
As I read it, it is possible that Hughes is actually the LNAB, and her first husband was John Wade, and her parents are Robert and Sarah Woodson Hughes.
Removed Sarah Woodson-980 and Robert Hughes-8225 as parent of Joane Morton, since Hughes was not her maiden name but former married name, Parents were linked to her in error.
Wade-1017 and Hughes-494 appear to represent the same person because: Same person in these profiles, both with former married name of Hughes and lastly both married John Morton
Seems that Hughes was her married name (1st marriage).
What is the evidence for a maiden name (Wade)?
