Father of poet and activist Langston Hughes.
James Hughes was born September 16, 1871 in Charlestown, Indiana[1] to parents James Hughes and Emma Cushenberry.
He married Caroline Langston.
He passed away in 1934 in Toluca de Lerdo, Mexico.
