Vital Records of Thomas Hunt: Thomas was born in Charlemont, Franklin, Massachusetts on 10 Apr 1787.[1] He is the fourth born child and second son of Jacob Hunt and Hannah Littlefield. He married Deborah Nickerson, dau. of Phineas Nickerson and Reliance Taylor, in Har, Barnstable, Massachusetts on 15 Oct 1816. They had 7 (known) children together. 1) Thomas Jefferson b. in Reading, Windsor, Vermont on 5 Jun 1818; 2) Abel b. in Reading on 22 Sep 1819; 3) Debora Rebecca b. in Reading on 10 Sep 1821; 4) Abner b. in Reading on 24 Mar 1823; 5) Nathan b. in Reading on 25 Feb 1825; 6) Hannah b. in Mendon, Rutland, Vermont on 19 May 1827; and 7) Phineas b. in Mendon on 23 Mar 1832.[2] Thomas died at the age of 87 in Unity, Sullivan, New Hampshire on 5 Aug 1874.[3]
Census, Land, Court Records and other historical artifacts of Thomas Hunt: In the 1850 Federal Census, Thomas was living in Charlestown, Sullivan, New Hampshire with his wife Deborah, at age 60, and three of his children. Abner, at age 27; Hannah, at age 23; and Phineas, at age 18. Thomas was 63 years of age.[4] In the 1860 Federal Census, Thomas was still in Charlestown with his wife Deborah, at age 70, and his daughter, Hannah who was 33 at that time. Thomas was at 73 years of age.[5] In the 1870 Federal Census, Thomas was living with his daughter Debora and her husband, Jonathan Reed. At that time, Thomas was 83 years of age.[6] Although Thomas died in Unity, New Hampshire on 5 Aug 1874, his final resting place is not yet known.
