Joseph is said to have married Bethia Richardson , the widow of John Ketcham, in 1707.[2] Both Joseph and Bethia were in their fifties by 1707.
The Genealogical and Biogrsphical Record Quarterly has her marriage to Edward Kecham in 1677. Bethia Richardson was living in Westchester and one source has her death as October 1707.
Martha is listed in an often-reliable mid 19th century source as having been a daughter of Joseph Hunt. However, that same source conflates Joseph's father Thomas with his brother Thomas Jr., so it is not always reliable.[3] Also listed that way, with the same conflation, in another more recent source [4] It would seem that Martha must have been the child of an earlier marriage.
Joseph witnessed the will of John Oakley of Westchester on April 19, 1712[5]
