Biography

Ralph Hunt was born about 1685, son of John Hunt (~1658 - ~1735) and Joanna (Joanna) Hunt (1663 - 1732).

His siblings were:

1. Samuel Hunt (~1686 - <1783)
2. John Hunt (1690 - 1748)
3. John Hunt Jr. (~1693 - ~1748)
4. Edward Hunt (~1715 - ~1798)

Ralph Hunt and his brother John emigrated from England to Newtown, Long Island, New York in 1708. Ralph married Margaret Furman in 1720.^[1][2]

Ralph died in 1741 in Newtown, Queens County, Long Island, New York aged ~56.^[3]

Research Notes

There is much confusion about the Hunt families who lived in the New York area. It has been found that Ralph Hunt born 1613 is not related to Thomas Hunt. Real research needs to be done on the Ralph Hunt 1613 line. For example, There are several Ralph Hunt profiles for the. N Y area, with various birth dates and redundant information. Some are unsourced or minimally sourced.
