Anne was not the daughter of William Hunt and Elizabeth (Best) Todd. This was presented as fact in 1944.[1] Subsequent research of the wills of William Hunt and Richard Best have shown that Anne was not a child of William.[2]

Mary Grant, widow of Thomas Grant had no children. In her will she named her sisters, Ann Wood and Susanna Todd, wife of John Todd.[3]
