Biography

Mary Hunt was born on 15 May 1695 in Charles City County, Virginia, Colonial America, the daughter of William Hunt III and Tabitha (Underwood) Bowler Hunt. [1] She married William Allen in 1721 in Charles City, Virginia. They had three children in 26 years. She died on March 8, 1763, in Buckingham, Virginia, at the age of 67.

Mary married first Robert Harrison Minge. They had the following children:

  1. Martha Minge Bakersfield
  2. John Minge
  3. Tabatha Minge Burton

She married second William Allen, Jr., about 1721. They had the following children:

  1. Judith Allen Burton
  2. Susanna Allen Soblet
  3. Samuel Allen
  4. William Allen
  5. John Allen
  6. Valentine Allen
  7. George Hunt Allen
  8. Ann Allen married John Spears
  9. Mary Allen
  10. Philip Allen

She married third Field Jefferson, on November 1, 1753, Mecklenburg Co., VA.
