Biography

Jackson O Hunt was enumerated at Danielsville Post Office, Madison County, Georgia for the June 25, United States Census, 1860. He was noted as born 1852 in Georgia as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Joel Hunt, female Rebecca Hunt, male William H Hunt, female Rebecca E Hunt, male James F Hunt, male Thomas J Hunt, male Joseph M Hunt, male John B Hunt and female Martha E Hunt.[1]

Jackson O Hunt was enumerated at Danielsville, Madison County, Georgia for the June 6, United States Census, 1870. He was noted as born 1850-1851 in Georgia and a farm laborer as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Jack (Joel) Hunt, female Rebecca Hunt, female Rebecca R Hunt, male Thomas J Hunt, male Joseph M Hunt and female Martha E Hunt.[2]

Jackson was a carpenter and farmer. He also served as a Georgia state Marshall_appointed by gov. Emory Spears. Married Martha Webb.They had 9 children.He died of smallpox at Anderson sc in 1900. Martha died in Pelzer sc in 1926. His father was Joel Hunt Jr. Died 1895. Mother Rebecca Jordan. Died 1889. [email address removed]
