Biography

On 26 Feb 1918 (Age: 24) Charles left for Boot camp.2 May 1918 Sailed from Camp New York. On 17 August 1918 Charles was killed Fismes France from mustard gases and having both legs shot off. He was a part of Co.B 109th Infantry. 28th or Keystone or Dron Division. This was sent on a post card to my great-grandmother Martha Hunt Knable. He wasn't shipped home until 4 August 1921. He was then buried at Mt Nebo Cemetery
