Greetings!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Are any of your earlier Cox family members from South Carolina, USA, by any chance?

Welcome to our community, Diana and congrats on becoming your family's official historian. :) The more ancestors you add, the more likely cousins will find you and help out.

Our Honor Code, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.

Please consider stopping by the Tree House to introduce yourself.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.

Thank you for helping in our mission to build a global tree with only ONE profile per person.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree!

I would very much enjoy volunteering as a "genealogist". I have been working on my family tree (trees actually) and would love to be able to do this full time if I could. I absolutely love researching and according to my relatives have now become our family's official historian!!

Diana, since you've uploaded a GEDCOM, our GEDCOM FAQ pages may come in handy. :)

Hi Diana

Welcome to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile per person.

To start:

Our Honor Code (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Honor_Code) is a very important part of why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree so please take time to read it. See How to use WikiTree for how it all works. Our G2G forum is the place to ask questions. If English is not your first language we have WikiTree Language Volunteers. Click the volunteer button if you want to help grow our tree and leave a comment on your profile about how you can contribute.

Have Fun!
