Elizabeth L. Hinton married first on Oct. 8, 1865 in Sparta, Grant, Indiana. She died in Lewiston, Nez Perce, Idaho on Nov. 8, 1921. She had married, after Robert's death, Ira Milton Robbins in 1882. Robert and Elizabeth had five children, Sarah, Charles, Jesse, Rosa, and Lottie[1]
Research Note
The Marion Indiana marriage index has the marriage year for Elizabeth Hinton and Mr. Downs as 1895, which is after Mr. Downs' death and after her second marriage to Mr. Robbins in 1882. This must be an error. Elizabeth's father, James Hinton, is named on her death certificate. [2]
