  • "Lpool Advance May 29 1912: Wedding Anniversary: On may 29th, Mr Richard Hunt, ex-MPP for Queens Co., and Mrs Hunt celebrate at their home, South Brookfiled, the 56th year of their wedding anniversary. Perhaps few can say with Mr Hunt that he has a sister, Mrs Andris Shaffner, now living with her husband at West Port, Digby Co, who have celebrated their 58th wedding day. At that wedding, 58 years ago, Mr Hunt supported the Groom, and Miss Anna Harlow, cousin of the Hunt Family, now Mrs B.L. Telfer, living at Caledonia, attended as Bridesmaid. A brother, Mr Thomas Hunt, living with his wife at South Brookfield, have passed 55 years of wedded life together. Another brother, James B Hunt, living with his wife at Caledonia, have spent 54 years of wedded life together. Eldred Hunt, the youngest brother, died when 62 years of age. The combined ages of the four living are 314 years and 2 months. The Mother (nee Olivia Smith) of this family was a descendant of the Plymouth Pilgrims. She died at the age of 32, leaving five small children. The father, Ephraim Hunt, a descendant of old English stock, lived to see 84 years. Please let us hear from some other families if they have a record of years equal to this one."
