Research Note: The marriage date shown of 29 April 1779, was for John Huntley and Mary Booth, and took place in Salehurst. The marriage between John Huntley and Mary Bene (or Burse) took place on 11 November 1793, in Warbleton, John was shown to be from the parish of Salehurst, but is not shown to be a widower. It is quite likley that there were two separate John Huntley's who married two Mary's. (added 4 November 2018 by Carol Keeling ) [1] But Ancestry has John's first marriage as at 29 April 1779 (to Mary Boots 1757- 1786) and a second marriage to Mary Burse/Bene on 11 Nov 1793. He is then a coal merchant, and has three more daughters and a son between 1800 and 1812
