Jane Edna Huntley, daughter of Stephen Huntley and Irena (Howard) Huntley, was born circa 1834 at New York, USA.[1] She appeared on the census of 23 July 1850 in the household of her future in-laws, George Smith and Keziah (--?--) Smith, at Newark, Rock Co., Wisconsin. [2]
She married John K. Smith, son of George Smith and Keziah (--?--), circa 1855 at Wisconsin..[3]
She and John K. Smith appeared on the census of 27 Jun 1860 at Newark, Rock Co., Wisconsin. Jane's sister, Martha Huntley, was living with them as was Martha's daughter, Emily Almedia Langford.[4] She and John appeared on the census of 11 Aug. 1870 at Wisconsin.[5] She and John appeared on the census of 27 June 1880 at Newark, Rock Co., Wisconsin.[6]
Jane Edna died in 1898 probably in Rock County and was buried at Newark Cemetery, Beloit, Rock County, Wisconsin. Her memorial has a photo of her headstone sahred with John and their son Levi.[7]
