George Franklin Huntley, son of Stephen and Irena (Howard) Huntley, was born on 10 April 1831 at Harmony, Chautauqua Co., New York, USA. [1]
He married first Margaret Steepleton, daughter of Thomas and Mary Steepleton. on 22 Jan. 1860 at Mercer County, Illinois.[1]
He married second Rachel Lavina Shearer, daughter of John and Mary A. (Walters) Shearer, on 16 Dec. 1866 at Mercer Co., Illinois.[1]
He and Rachel appeared on the census of 20 July 1870 at Marshall, Louisa Co., Iowa.[2] He and Rachel appeared on the census of 19 June 1880 at Monroe, Madison Co., Iowa.[3]
He married third Emma Martin, daughter of Clyde Martin, in Fairbury, Decatur Co., Iowa. They were divorced at Leon, Iowa on 7 Nov. 1895.[1]
He and Emma appeared on the census of 4 June 1885 at Washington, Jefferson Co., Nebraska.[4]
He married fourth Nancy Jane (Poltorff) Wasson, daughter of Garrett Poltorff and Cynthia (Harro) Poltorff, on 11 Nov. 1895 at Leon, Decatur Co., Iowa, USA.[1][5]
He was a farmer when he and Nancy appeared on the census of 26 June 1900 at High Point, Decatur Co., Iowa.[6] He was still farming when he and Nancy appeared on the census of 4 May 1910 at Burrell, Decatur Co., Iowa.[7] He and Nancy appeared on the census of 7 Jan. 1920 at Bloomington, Decatur Co., Iowa.[8]
