Biography

Daniel Huntley, son of Frederick Huntley and Mary Elizabeth (Caldwell) Huntley, was born about 1778 in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia, Canada.^[1]

He married Rachel Gardner, daughter of David and Zerviah (Huntley) Gardner, on 20 June 1801 at Little Machias, Maine.^[1]

Rachael and Daniel are in the 1850 census with their son-in-law, Philbrook Brown, Jr.^{[1] [2]}

Children of Daniel and Rachel:

1. Daniel Huntley b. 5 June 1802 married Sallie A. Albee.
2. Mary b. 6 June 1804 married Gould French Elliot.
3. Gideon b. 1805 Almira.
4. Francis W. died 24 June 1847 age 35, a seaman.
5. Rachel married Arthur Albee.
6. Almira Miranda b. c. 1817 married Philbrook Brown Jr.
